FAQ

Clik2pay is an innovative new payment solution that enables immediate payment from your bank account. It is an easy and secure way to pay businesses or receive payments from customers, directly from their bank account.

How does Clik2pay work?

Paying bills is as easy as verify, click, pay.

  • Verify the details and amount due.
  • Click the Clik2pay button or scan the QR code with your phone.
  • Pay securely through your bank.
What is the Clik2pay short code?

The short code is a unique code for each payment - that allows customers to settle the payment immediately at Clik2pay.com or at seller web sites that accept the short code. Simply enter the short code and complete the payment via your bank.

Are Clik2pay links secure?

Yes, our links are secure. But remember to only click on links that you recognize – those provided by a familiar seller, financial institution or Clik2pay.

Do I need to register with Clik2pay? Is there a Clik2pay account?

No, you do not need to register for a Clik2pay account to use the service - Clik2pay enables payments from your bank account to the seller's account. Clik2pay can be used as long as you have an active account with a major Canadian financial institution.

Can I modify the amount before payment?

No. Only the seller can set the amount of the transaction. Contact the seller directly if you notice a discrepancy on the bill.

How do I use the Clik2pay QR code?

Most Apple and Android phones provide ‘QR reader’ feature within the mobile camera. If your phone does not have this feature, you may have to download the QR code reader application separately. If that is too much work, simply click the Clik2pay button on your bill or enter the short code on the web site.

Are there limits on the amount for making a payment?

Clik2pay does not impose limits on transactions. For security reasons, your financial institution may have limits ranging from $1000-3000 for Clik2pay transactions.

How do I change my transaction limits?

You need to contact your bank/financial institution to either increase or decrease your transaction limits.

When will the funds be debited from my bank account?

After approving the transaction, the funds will be debited from your bank account immediately. The business will be notified immediately and will credit your account as soon as possible.
