For inquiries about a Clik2pay transaction, please contact the merchant you purchased from directly. They can assist you with any questions about a pending payment, a past payment, or a refund.

Do not contact Interac Corporation. They do not assist with individual transaction inquiries.

What is Clik2pay?

Clik2pay allows Canadians to pay with Interac e‑Transfer. Whether you are shopping online, paying a bill, or making payments on the go, you can pay easily and securely, directly from your bank account at participating merchants.

How does Clik2pay work?
  1. You will receive a unique link or QR code by email or text, or choose to pay with Interac directly on a business’ website.
  2. You will choose your bank from a list and log into your online banking.
  3. After reviewing the details, you will select your bank account to accept the payment request.

It’s a secure and familiar Interac e‑Transfer experience.

How will the payment appear on my bank statement?

The description will include the name of the merchant you purchased with, but the exact descriptions will vary by bank.

Are there any fees to pay with Clik2pay?

It’s free to pay with Clik2pay. No fees are charged by Clik2pay, or your bank to accept an Interac e‑Transfer request.

What are the payment limits?

Maximum payment limits vary by bank. The range is typically between $3,000 to $10,000 per day.

I changed my mind. How do I get my money back?

Please contact the merchant directly for any refund requests.

Does Clik2pay collect my banking details?

No. Clik2pay uses the popular Interac e‑Transfer service, which enables you to pay directly from your bank account. We do not collect or store any personal financial data including your online banking login or your bank account details.

Do I need to sign up for an account to use Clik2pay?

No registration or sign-up is required. To pay with Clik2pay, simply log in to your bank’s mobile app or online banking to accept the request.
